EISAP’s objective is to represent the interests of Portuguese and international shipowners with vessels registered under MAR.
Its mission is to contribute to the promotion, development, and harmonization of MAR, in close collaboration with the International Business Centre of Madeira (IBC), the Regional Government of Madeira, and other relevant stakeholders.
EISAP also aims to strengthen Portugal’s maritime sector by supporting job creation for young Portuguese and European students in the maritime industry, both at sea and ashore.
Furthermore, EISAP seeks to foster the development of a robust maritime cluster in Portugal, to collaborate with professionals and experts from across the shipping industry, and to encourage the establishment of business relationships and coordination of research - both nationally and internationally - on legal and other industry-related matters. This enables its members to access relevant and up-to-date information about the maritime sector.
As a platform for representation, research, and knowledge exchange, EISAP also aims to coordinate its activities with international associations that share similar objectives and to ensure representation in both national and international organizations.
